«National Company «Kazcosmos» was established on March 17, 2005, by the Decree of the Kazakhstan Government with 100% shares of the State in the authorized capital.
On August 2, 2007 the Company was renamed to the Joint Stock Company «National Company «Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary».
Company’s main business areas are:
Participation in the development and implementation of the current, long-term inter-industry programs in space activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
Introduction of space technologies, aimed to resolve social and economic objectives of Kazakhstan;
Performance of design and engineering works for building space systems and complexes.
Company’s mission is building and introduction of
competitive space technologies, products and services in the interests of
Kazakhstan.
The perspective of the Company - a high-tech, dynamically developing Company
(including its subsidiaries and affiliates) is able to independently design, create
and operate the competitive space systems and provide high-quality services in
demand in the regional and global markets by 2020.
The Company as the managing organization provides with the attraction of orders and their distribution by its subsidiaries or affiliated organizations created by product areas and functions:
1. design, assembly and testing of spacecrafts and components of space technology;
2. operation of the ERS and provision of the ERS data;
3. operation of ground based infrastructure of the high accuracy satellite navigation system, provision of navigation services.
Space activities requires a particularly high quality level of production, so it is focused on advanced technologies and solutions. The quality management system of the Company is certified for compliance with the requirements of the international and Kazakhstan standard ( ISO 9001 and ST RK ISO 9001).
A Technical
Committee for standardization "Space activities" TC 66 has been
established on the basis of the JSC «NC «KGS» in 2007.
TC 66 is a member
of the International Technical Committee ISO/TC 20 «Аviation and spacecrafts» since 2008.
The Company is a cofounder of «Ghalam» LLP together with the strategic partner of the Airbus Defence & Space Company and the state.
